While he was quick to decide to close this prison camp that houses hundreds of terrorist caught during wartime combat, he failed to realize that housing them here in the United States may cause further harm. 

Has the President considered the possibility of future terrorist attacks on American soil?  Has he considered that more people will join terrorist organizations when they see these men housed here in the United States?  Has he considered that it could cause additional harm to the men and women serving in combat areas at this time? 

These terrorists were not caught here in the United States and charged with terrorist acts.  No they were caught in combat zones and held until they could be put on trial with a military tribunal.  Not once in our history have American forces captured foreign enemies and transported them back to our land for trial. 

Look at the history of other wars and how the councils were held.  After World War II, the Nazi leaders were captured and held until their trials.  Due to the extent of their crimes, multiple national attorneys were brought from around the world as well as military leaders that fought so valiantly in battle.  America did not bring any of the Japanese back to the United States to stand trial.  The trials were held in Japan for their crimes against the Americans and the rest of the world. 

Unfortunately, if these terrorists are brought onto American soil, they will be given attorneys at the American taxpayers cost.  They will be given Miranda rights and all the appellate rights that AMERICAN citizens are afforded. 

It is not too late to stop this from taking place.  Write, fax, e-mail, and call your Senators, Congressmen, the President and all other White House staff that would have any impact on allowing terrorists to be brought into America.  Do not think that we are forgotten, for if we do not speak for ourselves then no one will do it for us.

PLEASE TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY.  DO NOT STAND IDLY BY AS THEY TRY TO PUSH A LIBERAL AGENDA FORWARD AND DESTROY WHAT IS LEFT OF OUR FREEDOMS.

Mr. Griffith has voted against the major legislative bills that President Obama has been pushing since his inauguration in January 2009.  When President Obama pushed for the stimulus plan earlier this year, Mr. Griffith was one of the handful of Democrats that were opposed to this legislation.  Mr. Griffith did not align himself with the Democratic majority when it came to approving the Cap and Trade Bill or the Health Care Reform Bill. 

We are pleased to see Mr. Griffith change his party affiliations and applaud his previous stands against this administration.  We wonder if there will be more members of the House and Senate switching parties if the administration continues on its current path? 

Continue your hard work.  Keep dialing those phones and sending those letters and e-mails to your Senators and Representatives.  They need to listen to what we as their constituents have to say and not what they want us to accept.

This law makes you think on what the elected representatives are doing at this time and realize that it is completely illegal.  They believe that they are above the law and do not have to play by the rules.  We need to push that charges are brought up to each and every one of the representatives that are benefitting from this health care legislation.  Even though the funding is going to the states that they represent, it is still illegal because in the end it benefits them to get re-elected. 

We need to keep pressing forward to cleaning up our federal government.  President Ronald Reagan had the right idea when he said “government is not the solution to the problem but government is the problem”.

The current system is extremely corrupt and needs to be cleaned up.  Look into each of the elected officials and see if they are working for you or working for themselves.

Too many of the Senators have stated their cases maintaining that they would not be swayed from their beliefs.  We now  see that these politicians are only looking out for their best interests that will possibly get them re-elected. 

Senator Dodd (D-CT) slipped into the health care bill $100 million to fund a new teaching hospital at the University of Connecticut.  Senator Dodd is up for re-election this year and has an uphill battle for a seat he has held for 29 years. 

Senator Mary Ladreau (D-LA) was able to milk $300 million for her home state for Medicaid assistance for her vote to push through the health care reform bill.

Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) was able to secure over $100 million for the state of Nebraska for Medicaid assistance.  This after Senator Nelson stated that he would not vote on any bill that did not have stronger language banning federal funds on abortion.

Senator Bernie Saunders (I-VT) received what could be seen as the largest payoff of $10 billion, yes billion with a B, to fund community health clinics.  While these are very important and should be assisted as much as possible, when is it right for the American taxpayers to shoulder the expenses for clinics in Vermont.

These Senators believe that receiving additional funds for their states is the best way of doing business to stay in power in Washington D.C.  It should be criminal to allow these types of dealings to continue.  It is against the law for these types of actions to take place in private companies in the United States.  Remember how Bernie Madoff and Martha Stewart have been convicted on illegal activities and either are or have served time in federal prison.  If only they had become senators then their actions would have been legal. 

These actions should not be allowed for any political party at any point.  We should not allow or justify these actions just because it may benefit the state in which we reside.  Our senators need to look at the bigger picture and realize that this is a nation of 50 states and we all have to work together and need to be fair and balanced across the board. 

Please stand up to the illegalities that are happening within Washington D.C.  Please let your voices be heard and do not allow this type of action to continue any longer.  Educate yourself and keep on top of current legislation, all legislations that are pending.  It is quite easy to slip in huge amendments to any bill and get it passed.  This needs to be stopped. Today is the right time, tomorrow may be too late, not only for us but also for our children.

If all goes as planned, the Senate will approve the health care legislation bill by Christmas Eve.  This just in time for them to run home and hide from the American people.  They will not want to be bothered over the next two weeks.  The Senators will not listen to the numerous phone messages that have been left asking them to scrap this health care legislation.  They will not read any e-mails, faxes or even the written letters from their many constituents.  They will be unreachable.

I am not sure how many of you have attempted to contact your Senators on this health care bill.  As one of the many here in the Commonwealth of Virginia I have made it very clear to both of the Democratic Senators that I do not support this bill.

I have a vested interest in this bill not being passed.  My husband is currently on Medicare Advantage due to multiple injuries received on his work place.  Due to the extensiveness of his injuries he has not returned to work and is not sure what extent he will be allowed to return.  The changes being proposed by the Senate will cut his Medicare Advantage and possibly push him back over into Medicare.  Some of you will say “it is better than nothing” but the huge issue is that there are many doctors that outright refuse to accept Medicare.  We have been blessed to have doctors accept him as a Medicare Advantage patient because management of the care is a lot better.  You do not have the government beauracracy to deal with when going through private corporations. 

Some people argue at this point  that the private insurers can stop paying for some care and even decide to not give patients needed medical care.  More often than not, the physicians have a better chance at getting treatment approved through private corporations than through government-run agencies.  Doctors make decisions in the patient’s best interest not in the best interest of their own pockets. 

This new health care reform is only going to only hurt each and every American who purchases health care in the private market.  The federal government is trying to get insurers to accept patients with pre-existing conditions and put caps on how much is paid by individuals.  If you speak to any insurance sales agent, you can purchase insurance for almost any condition but costs may be a bit higher.   We have had the opportunity to purchase private insurance for my husband for approximately $600 per month.  That was for premium health coverage which is not too bad.  Due to financial difficulties we could not pay for this additional coverage.  The point at which he can purchase private insurance will really help even more.

As Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC) stated during President Obama’s speech in September 2009 “You Lie” must be said time and time again.  The president and representatives are lying that health care is an emergency and has to be passed today.  They lie about the cost of this health care bill lowering the national deficit.  Even the CBO has stated as late as yesterday that this bill will not lower the costs over the next 20 years.

Many of you feel that you have been defeated and run over by your representatives.  Don’t stop now.  Keep the calls going even during the holiday break.  Keep writing those e-mails, faxes and letters.  Flood their phone lines until the mail boxes are full.  If you cannot get through, then do not be afraid of going to their offices and being heard.  The can ignore the phones, the letters and the e-mails, but they cannot ignore someone right in their face. 

It is bound to get sticky over the next few weeks, but keep pushing ahead and do not let your voice be stifled.

This bill will cut medicare advantage by $500 billion over the next ten years.  The final bill that was voted on is a complete concept and nothing more.  The finalized bill has not been completed as of this time.  The final bill has not been posted, especially considering that Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) slipped in a 383 page amendment prior to the vote.  This bill is a total farce and should be scrapped.

Senator Nelson (D-Nebraska) sold off his vote for $300 million that will support medicaid in his home state.  This coming from a man that stated he would not support any bill that did not remove abortion funding from the bill.  How easily he forgets what he said less than 24 hours before. 

These Senators are selling their votes and us their constituents just to line their own pockets.  This is a complete and total misgiving of the American legislative system.  We need to remove each and every one of the Senators that voted to push this pathetic bill through which will not fix medical cost by a single penny.

Americans stand up.  It is still not too late.  Call your Senators and Representatives and tell them that it is not too late to stop this bill.  If they will not listen to us, then we need to unite and push to appeal this bill through the Justice system.  Today, not tomorrow is the time to act.

This bill must be reviewed by the Congress within the next 30 days or it will be the first step in our federal government authorizing homosexual marriage in this country.  We must push our elected Representatives to stop this.  If you are not outraged about this, then you should be because it is against that our biblical teachings have been and what was passed defining marriage. 

The next step will allow homosexual marriages to be allowed in the federal government level and even force states into accepting this act as legal.  A strong majority of American citizens are outraged by this and have voted numerous times saying that it is not what they want in their own states.  California has voted at least twice each time the voters have been adamant that marriage is between one man and one woman. 

This is the first of many acts that our government is pushing to changing the definition of marriage.  There is a motion in Congress at this time that would if passed would require churches to allow homosexuals to be in the ministry roles of all churches.  If the churches do not allow homosexuals in the ministry then they will lose tax-free benefits.  We are truly becoming a country of loose moral fiber.

So now call your Representative and ask for them to stop this from passing.  They need to say that the Federal government will not allow this action to spread any further, for the American people have spoken and will not stand for this action any longer.

These health care reform bills will cause the American people to live as the federal government sees fit.  They will start monitoring what we eat, how much we eat, exercise routines, and overall lifestyles.  They will ensure that if you smoke, you will be penalized more so than you are now because you could develop cancer.  If you drink even just a little, then they we decide that you are extremely risky and push for insurers to increase your costs because you may develop cirrhosis of the liver.  Do we need the federal government looking over our personal medical records to see if you are a risk due to weight, blood pressure or other chronic illnesses?

I say that we need to put a HALT to any health care which will strip us of our rights to make decisions in OUR lives.  One of the biggest issues is that we will have our decisions made for us by quite a few representatives who have never really worked a real job for most of their adult lives; if they did it was probably a scope which they did not run into everyday issues.  They probably have not dealt with the issues of stress due to changes in employment or changes in family lifestyles due to injury or medical issues

How will the government health care affect you in the long run.  Well if you are in the age range of 55 to 64, employers will have the opportunity to push you over to Medicare.  A large portion of doctors and hospitals are shying away from accepting new patients with only Medicare paying the bill.  Even one of the most illustrious hospital systems in the United States, the Mayo Clinic, will not accept any more patients with Medicare. 

Those of you that are below the age of 55 will be forced to purchase medical insurance.  If you do not comply and have the government mandated insurance then you will be penalized.  Another tidbit of information that is not  being discussed by most of the representatives is that they will allow insurance companies to place caps on how much they will pay per year for your medical procedures.  How is this fair to us?  We pay the premiums and believe that the insurance will be there in times of need.  Most of us do not utilize doctors and hospitals unless absolutely necessary.  These caps will force people to go into bankruptcy and forgo necessary medical procedures just to keep their insurance.  If this is not the hand of big brother stepping in and forcing a single payer system onto the American people, I do not know what is.

Please call, fax, email and write your Representative and Senators and ask them to stop this bill.  Not only will it bankrupt our nation, but also the American people.

After multiple requests by you, the American public something has been done that is correct.  This is one of the few victories that we see as our rights seem to be dwindling away.  Many people contacted their representatives, especially here in Virginia.  Both of the Virginia Senators rallied behind Col. Barfoot. 

So America, THANK YOU.  If it was not for your support, then this battle would have continued and possibly would have ended with legal costs and eviction from his development.  SO AMERICA, you can be proud of the work you have done in support of one of our nations GREATEST AMERICANS.
